About Naorem Birahari College, Khundrakpam Library
The Library of Naorem Birahari College, Khundrakpam spread over 1128 sq. feet area with independent building. The library is centrally located inside the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment from all sections of the Department and also enables a right platform for learning and advancement of knowledge. The vision of the library is to provide new knowledge through acquisition, well organization and dissemination of resources to its users’ community. At present, the library has a total collection of more than 4523 Physical books and e-Books and e-Journals subscribed through N-LIST (N-LIST College ID: 7573). It also subscribes important daily local newspapers.Under N-LIST consortium, Library has subscribed various e-journals from world-wide reputed publishers like American Institute of Physics, Annual Reviews, Economic and Political Weekly (EPW), Indian Journals, Institute of Physics, JSTOR, Oxford University Press, Royal Society of Chemistry, H. W. Wilson, and Cambridge University Press and also can accessed various e-books through Cambridge Books Online,E-Library, EBSCoHost-Net Library, Hindustan Book Agency, Institute of South East Asian Studies (ISEAS) Books, Oxford Scholarship, Springer eBooks, Sage Publication eBooks, Taylor Francis eBooks,Myilibrary-McGraw Hill, South Asia Archive and World e-Books Library.
Recently the library started data entry as a part of fully automation using KOHA Integrated Library Management Software. The library is also fully equipped with CCTV cameras surveillance system. It also provides power backup facility with UPS for accessing library resources through internet and also providing Library internet wifi facility.
